Guest Student Admission

What is College Credit Plus?

College Credit Plus (CCP) allows Ohio high school students to begin earning college credits by taking college-level courses during high school. This gives high school students an opportunity to challenge themselves academically and secure credits that can be applied toward a college degree program after graduating from high school. Students take available CCP courses on Baldwin Wallace’s campus in Berea.

Who is Eligible for College Credit Plus at BW?

For the 2022-23 academic year, only students enrolled at Berea-Midpark High School, including students who are enrolled both at the high school and Polaris Career Center are eligible for College Credit Plus.

CCP students are evaluated using the same criteria as first-year undergraduate students. Students must provide evidence of their preparation and fit for success. Successful candidates for admission have typically earned a minimum B average in their academic course work.

Baldwin Wallace strongly recommends at least two years of high school English prior to enrolling in the CCP program. The following high school curriculum will best prepare most students as a first-year student at BW. CCP applicants who have completed fewer credits may still apply for consideration.

Depending on a student’s academic preparation along with the support of their guidance counselor, they may enroll in more than one CCP course concurrently. All courses are taught on the BW campus and enrollment is based on seat availability. Textbooks are covered by the school district under the CCP program. Please contact your high school guidance counselor for more information.
