Meal Plans for Students Entering BW in Fall 2021

Baldwin Wallace meal plans provide students with dining flexibility to meet student preferences. Each plan includes BW's Flex Dollars that may be used at à la carte campus cafés, off-campus dining partners, campus stores, printing kiosks and more.

First-Year Students

Prime Plan

Required for all first-year resident students


Best value and most food! For students who eat regular meals. 21 meals each week of the semester. This plan also provides $200 Flex Dollars.

Transfer Students Entering BW in Fall 2021

Transfer students may choose the Prime Plan above or the Choice or Basic plans listed below.

Choice Plan


Greater flexibility for students who may eat two meals a day. 14 meals each week of the semester. This plan includes $200 Flex Dollars.

Basic Plan


Flexible meals and ability for students to manage their spending. 10 meals each week of the semester. This plan also provides $200 Flex Dollars.

Commuter Students Entering BW in Fall 2021

Commuter Plan


For commuter students only (first-year or transfer commuters), this plan provides meals for students who may eat on campus a couple of times per week. 25 meals per semester. Flex Dollars can be loaded as needed. Commuters may or may not choose to carry a meal plan.

Senior Students Enrolled in Fall 2021

Students who are BW seniors in fall 2021 or spring 2022 may choose the senior plan.

Greater flexibility for seniors who may have hectic schedules on and off campus. 5 meals each week of the semester. This plan also provides $500 Flex Dollars.

Union Dining Hall

The Union is the main dining hall, located on South Campus in the Student Union, it is open seven days a week when classes are in session. Options include comfort foods, fresh greens and salads, house made soups, pizza, pasta and delicious desserts. Fresh favorites from the grill include burgers, chicken, tenders and fries. Specialty stations offer foods with international flare along with an allergen friendly zone, and vegan and vegetarian choices.

Colony Café

Located in the Student Union on the main floor, the Colony Café is a casual dining restaurant for students, faculty, staff and the local community. The Colony Café serves lunch and dinner, offering a variety of soups, salads, gourmet sandwiches and deli wraps, fresh bakery and a variety of snacks.

The Hive

The Hive is located on the lower level of the Student Union. Students can enjoy fruit smoothies, ice cream, and hot or cold beverages while using nearby study and recreation space.

Lang Dining Hall

Lang Dining Hall is located in the heart of North Quad in the lower level of Lang Hall, serving breakfast and lunch. Lang offers a multiple food stations for your convenience. Place your order and one of our chefs will prepare your food.

Smoothie Bar

The Smoothie Bar is located in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center on the first floor (in the Harding Lobby). After having an exhilarating workout, treat yourself to a refreshing smoothie, made with fresh fruit and other natural ingredients.

Located in the Center for Innovation & Growth. Stinger's is a retail location featuring convenience foods and grocery items.
