Completing a One Year MBA
The full-time one year MBA program offers recent graduates and in some cases, working professionals, an opportunity to earn an accelerated MBA that offers a wide range of benefits to your career.
Recent Graduates
Students who have recently finished their undergraduate degree can fully focus on completing their graduate degree before taking on other commitments like starting a family and full-time employment.
Recent graduates take their core courses together as a cohort during the day, which encourages peer networking and discussions surrounding their early career experiences and current internships. Many students are also able to defer their undergraduate student loans while completing their graduate degrees, making it even easier to add on another year of school.
- Cohort Format
-
The one year MBA program is offered in a full-time cohort format over three consecutive semesters. Each cohort of students starts in May and finishes in May of the following year. Core classes taken within the cohort are held during the day at the Berea campus. Industry networking is encouraged in specialization courses which are taken during the evening with students in the flexible MBA.
The size of each one year MBA cohort is kept intentionally small so that you can foster strong relationships with your peers and faculty members.
- Specializations
-
Our five specialization options provide a great opportunity for recent graduates wanting to further explore their interests in specialized areas while gaining key skills in critical thinking, leadership and innovation. Whether you’re interested in building on current skills or you’re considering learning new skills that would complement your undergrad degree, our specialized areas of study will help you achieve career success.

Working Professionals
Students with significant full-time working experience can also benefit from our one year MBA option. Students interested in this accelerated MBA should be prepared to take about four courses per semester to graduate within a year. While this program can be a great option for those who are working part-time or those who are interested in taking time off from work to complete the program in one year, most full-time working professionals find that our part-time flexible MBA is a better fit.
The Flexible MBA
At BW, we understand the lives of working professionals can be demanding, which is why our MBA is flexible. Students have the option to choose their start term (fall A, fall B, spring A, spring B or summer), switch class formats as often as they like (in-person, live online, and recorded online), and most importantly, adjust the pace of their program. This means that even if you initially start at a full-time pace, you’ll always have the opportunity to reduce your course load or even take a semester off if needed. Our programs are built to fit your schedule
