MBA alumna accepts new position with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

MBA Alumna Awarded New Position as Part of Presidential Management Fellowship

woodland riverMara Lopez, MBA '14 is taking on a new role with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Lopez recently accepted the position of Vision communications coordinator and analyst as part of the Presidential Management Fellowship Program. She will be working within the National Wildlife Refuge System Division of Visitor Services and Communications, where she will be analyzing various programs. Her new title allows her to manage and initiate communications and events implemented as part of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services’ 15-year strategic plan called "Vision."

BW’s Impact and Involvement

Lopez earned her MBA in management and entrepreneurship and is a member of the MBA Association (MBAA). "I’ve very much enjoyed my membership in the MBAA, and my education experience at BW has been invaluable," Lopez says of her time at BW.

According to Lisa Judge, assistant director of Alumni Engagement, Lopez has been a key volunteer for the MBAA for three years. She has done a significant amount of work in support of BW’s annual Master’s Masters Golf Outing. This new career opportunity has led Lopez to the D.C. area, however she plans to stay active in the MBAA in the future.
