BW's Circle K service club brought home an armload of awards from the state convention in Columbus, including best CKI group in Ohio for fifth year in a row.

BW Circle K Wins Best Ohio Chapter for Fifth Consecutive Year

Baldwin Wallace University's Circle K International (CKI) service club impressed yet again at the 59th annual Ohio District Circle K Convention. For the fifth consecutive year, BW's chapter received The Daniel J. Romanello Achievement Award, presented to the best Circle K club in the state. Club members were recognized with a number of individual awards in nearly every category.

Individual Placings 

Individual leadership awards included: 2nd Place Outstanding President to Lyndsey Marshall; 3rd Place Outstanding Vice President to Xavier Seavers; 1st Place Outstanding Treasurer to Joel Cantwell; 1st place P.A.C.E. Newsletter Award to Holly Taylor; 2nd Place Outstanding Member to Joe Kolasinski; 2nd Place Outstanding New Member to Olivia Pollack; and 2nd Place Outstanding Advisor to BW biology professor Dr. Karen Munroe.

Berea Kiwanis Support

In addition, BW Circle K received a 1st place Scrapbook Contest award. Berea Kiwanis was awarded 1st Place for Outstanding Kiwanis Sponsors for their dedication and devotion to the BW organization. BW's thriving Circle K group is also mentored by two active advisors, Dr. Munroe and director of residence life Robin Gagnow.

"It is a great honor to be recognized as the best CKI Group in Ohio," said Gagnow. "It demonstrates the type of students we have a BW. Each year, we have new students step up and take the lead to continue our legacy."
