The BW spirit is strong and brings us together again for the BOLD & GOLD Homecoming Festival, Oct. 1 & 2, 2021. There's no better way to celebrate than with your Yellow Jacket family. Make plans to join us.

ALL TOGETHER since 1845, alumni, students, parents and community – get ready to break out your brown and gold and count down to a celebration that's 176 years in the making!

We're bringing back favorite traditions and creating new experiences to make this year's BOLD & GOLD Homecoming a time of friendship and fun with new activities to engage and entertain you.

Homecoming Pep Rally Thursday

8-9:30 p.m. - Virtual Trivia Night: Pep Rally Edition! Are you ready to kick off Homecoming 2021? Join Yellow Jackets for Life of all generations and locations for a pep rally style trivia night with our partners at TrivWorks. This event is free and open to alumni and friends — but it's limited to 50 participants, so reserve your spot now!

Teams will be randomly assigned by our TrivWorks hosts at the start of the event. Trivia questions will include a "BW round" focusing on the lore of the brown and gold, plus bonus rounds of general interest topics. Questions? Contact bwalumni@bw.edu.

9 p.m. – Pep Rally: BW students – bring your BW spirit and wear your Brown & Gold to this exciting event at George Finnie Stadium. Performances by the BW Dance Team, Urban Dance Association, Cheerleaders and Marching Yellow Jackets. AWWJACKETS!

Homecoming Kick-off Friday

12 p.m. – Level Up Your LinkedIn: Whether you're new to LinkedIn or just need some tips to revamp your profile, the School of Business is here to help. Learn best practices on LinkedIn from expert Tim Marshall, professor and director of the Digital Marketing Clinic. The on-demand webinar will premier as a post on the School of Business LinkedIn page. Be sure to follow the page so you don't miss it!

7 p.m. – BW Symphony Orchestra Concert: BW students perform under the direction of David Becker. Performance details. Attend in person at Gamble Auditorium, Kulas Musical Arts Building or stream it live.

Bold & Gold Homecoming Saturday

9 a.m. – Parent Welcome Reception: You're a valued part of our BW family. This is an opportunity to hear updates from campus administrators, learn more about campus resources and connect with other parents and families. Includes refreshments. Meeting location is the Center for Innovation & Growth (CIG).

9-10:30 a.m. – Rocket League Competition: Featuring a presentation by Alumni Keynote Speaker Austin Peterson (Cleveland Charge, Asst. Coach/Cavs Legion, Head Coach). Learn more or register to compete>>

9-11 a.m. – Affinity Group Gatherings: Reconnect, visit favorite spots on campus and see what's new on campus as you unite with members of the BW community and welcome guests who share similar interests.

9-11 a.m. – Campus Tours: Join us at the Richard and Karen Durst Welcome Center for a tour at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. No reservation required.

9 a.m. – 8 p.m – "1971 - The Other Year that Changed Everything" BW's Ritter Library presents an exhibit and lecture series this fall highlighting the historic events of the year 1971. Learn more >

10 a.m. – Music Theatre Disney Showcase: Join us at the steps of Boesel Musical Arts Center as BW's renowned music theatre students bring the best of Disney to campus.

11 a.m. – Homecoming Parade: BW spirit comes alive as student groups, floats and the BW Marching Band lead the way through campus and Berea to North Quad. The parade will start from the parking lot behind Wallace House and end at the stadium parking lot (good locations to watch the parade would be in front of University Market or on Beech Street between E. Grand Street and Bagley Road).

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – BOLD & GOLD Festival: Let's gather on North Quad for a festival celebration with street fair food, activity tents, games and entertainment for all ages.

Picnic tickets are just $10 for a delicious lunch from BW Dining. Enjoy delicious offerings like street tacos, roasted corn on the cob, burgers, hot dogs and more!

Students eat free by presenting a BW ID. Guests, faculty and staff can purchase food tickets for $10 each. Show your electronic ticket on your smartphone or print out your ticket for access to food at the event.

Additional snack offerings will be available from partnering vendors during the picnic on a cash and carry basis. Bold & Gold Picnic Tickets allow access to BW Dining offerings only.

1:00 p.m. – Rally: President Helmer, our grand marshal and head coach Jim Hilvert take the stage to pump up the crowd for the BW Yellow Jackets vs. Capital University.

1:30 p.m. – BW vs. Capital University Football: George Finnie Stadium will ignite with Yellow Jacket grit and glory. Join Stinger to cheer on the Yellow Jackets against Ohio Athletic Conference rival Capital University. Tickets available at bwyellowjackets.com/tickets or on game day at the stadium box office, or stream it live.

4:30-7 p.m. – Post-Game Celebration Concert with Disco Inferno: "Saturday Night Fever" hits BW! Channel your dancing queen; everyone's invited to a FREE concert on North Quad. Food trucks will arrive. Guests can purchase food with prices ranging from $5-$10. Bring a blanket or lawn chair or hang out on the grass.

7–9 p.m. – BW vs. Capital University Men's Soccer: End the day with the Yellow Jackets for another exciting Ohio Athletic Conference match-up at George Finnie Stadium. Admission is free.
