Danita Wabeke serves as adjunct nursing faculty in the department of nursing.

Prior to joining the BW nursing faculty, Wabeke had a 30-year career at the Cleveland Clinic, where she practiced as an acute-care registered nurse in the clinical specialties of high-risk obstetrics, quality and patient safety, clinical education, and blood management, in addition to holding multiple leadership roles. Wabeke has also taught in the division of nursing at Notre Dame College and Ashland University, where she developed an innovative clinical education program, earning the Ohio Governor’s Award, Strategic Partnership Fostering Economic Growth.

Wabeke is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She holds a specialty certification in inpatient obstetrical nursing. Her current area of research and publication is patient blood management.

As a student in the Fairview General Hospital School of Nursing, Wabeke received the Greater Cleveland Nurses Association Award in recognition of exceptional clinical competence, leadership, and commitment to personal and profession growth.
