Dr. Betsy Nagel, M.D., has more than 25 years of clinical experience, working in both private practice and community mental health at the Positive Education Program and day treatment centers. She has taught at Baldwin Wallace University since 2016.

Nagel received her Bachelor of Science in cell and developmental biology from Purdue University in 1984 and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1988. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals in Cleveland. She maintains board certification in both adult and child and adolescent psychiatry. 

A member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association, her special interests are school-based interventions and treating at-risk families in the community.
