A professor of economics, Dr. Dennis D. Miller holds the Buckhorn Endowed Chair at Baldwin Wallace University. He has worked at the International Center for Energy and Economic Development and the Institute of Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Miller has taught at the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and he was an analyst for the US Department of Agriculture.

Miller is an active researcher on energy policy and Middle East oil, having published in US newspapers and academic journals. He is currently working on a book titled “Rethinking the Resource Curse: Reshaping the Role of Oil and its Impact on Economic Development in the MENA Region Post-Arab Spring” (Springer International Publishers, 2016).

Miller earned a doctorate from the University of Colorado Boulder. His areas of interest are economic development – particularly the Middle East, Ukraine and India – and environmental economics.
