Ahmad Kilani, MD, MBA, MLS, FACP, FACHE, CHCQM, joined the Baldwin Wallace Physician Assistant Program in 2013 as a guest lecturer and then as an adjunct faculty member.

After finishing medical school at Damascus University in Syria, Kilani completed his internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. He worked in the same residency program until 2018 as chief resident, assistant program director, associate program director and program director. He also served as the chair of graduate medical education until 2017. During that time, he obtained his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Baldwin Wallace University and Master of Legal Studies from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Cincinnati.

In addition to his work in education, Kilani had several leadership positions including medical director of Fairview Hospital Westown Physician Center and medical director of Fairview Hospital Clinical Decision Unit. He is currently serving as the medical director of Cleveland Clinic Enterprise Physician Advisors and regional medical director of Cleveland Clinic Quality Alliance.

Kilani is a Fellow of American College of Physicians, a Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives, and he recently became board-certified in Healthcare Quality Management through the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He received best teacher award in 2010 from the Fairview Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. In 2012 and 2015, he received the Nightingale Physician Collaborative Award from the Cleveland Clinic Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute of Nursing Excellence.
