Patricia Egan teaches "Fundraising for the Arts." The course is focused on providing students with information and techniques on fundraising, which is critical for arts organizations. Students examine all facets of fundraising, create a case statement and development plan, and develop a journal of contacts and information to use professionally.

Egan has been a leader in the fundraising community for more than 25 years, serving large and small organizations. She has successfully led fundraising teams, developed strategic plans and integrated development plans, designed and implemented capital campaigns, conducted feasibility studies, planned and executed significant special events, written grants, secured major gifts, performed organizational/development audits, and created infrastructure and policies.

Her board experience includes gap analysis, scorecards, commitment documents and trainings. She has revitalized and recruited board members and trained boards in the role of the board, fundraising and governance. Her planning retreats focus on the needs and goals of the organization.

Egan was awarded her MBA in marketing administration from Cleveland State University and became a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 1996. She taught special events at Tri-C Corporate College, created and taught the first fundraising course at Levin College of Urban Affairs and taught marketing at Mandel School.
